I've also been busy learning how to be domestic. I've been cooking more for Jon since I'm home more often... and I've been sewing and crocheting!! WOW I know... I bought a couple burp cloths that were hemstitched and crocheted around them. The one above is the before...

...and this one is what it looks like after!! It was actually really fun!

Me & my mom have made a couple receiving blankets too... This one turned out funny on the corners but it's still cute fabric and who's gonna notice once it's wrapped around our cute baby?!

and since the corners were already wacky, we decided to try a fancy stitch!

This one turned out a little better... we were going for the mitered corners. It was FUN to make too!!

Winter Bike Ride... Pregnant.

Jon talked me into going on a bike ride so Maya could run! It was fun but it was pretty hard to pedal a bike with a huge belly in the way... and my coat doesn't even fit!

I can't wait for Summer when it will be a little more enjoyable to ride a bike!! Hey, at least I exercised though!!!

30 years - You're the MAN!!

Congrats DAD!! 30 years with the Cache County Sheriff's Office!!!!

We had a surprise party for my dad at the Sheriff's Office today including a yummy lunch!!

And he couldn't have done it without his AWESOME wifey by his side...

i'm at the uncomfortable stage...

AKA the unattractive stage... 7 months!! & i need a tan so bad... when will this wretched winter end!?!?!!

getting ready for baby girl!!!

We got a crib & changing table from one of the Wolford boys a few months ago!! It was like light wood with varnish & stuff... so we painted them with this primer that's meant to go over varnish & then we spray painted them black!!

Since spray paint is so over-powering we sprayed out in the garage in the 19 degree weather!!

Jon was a trooper and did most of the work... My finger was numb and my forearm was sore for like three days because of the little bit of spray painting I did. Jon is just strong & manly & awesome!

At this point, I'm not sure what parts are what. But hopefully Jon will remember when it comes time to put them back together!!

We also started making the crib bedding!!! I had a vision in my head of what I wanted the nursery to look like & the ONLY bedding I could find that fit that vision was $350... which is way out of our price range! So my awesome mother-in-law is helping me make the bedding!! We found the PERFECT fabric & I'm so stoked!!!

Good thing Pam is a sewing WIZARD because I would totally give up if I was doing this on my own!!

I'm SO excited!!!! We also painted the walls in the nursery pink!!! We just need to finish painting some things (the ceiling & closet) & then get carpet!!

This is somewhat similar to what I want. It will be a little different obviously because we're making it & we have a different pattern but that's ok. I'm still gonna love LoVe LOVE it!

happy birthday to me!

I'm really gettin' old... 22 to be exact. Perfect age to be a mommy huh?? That's what I've always thought!! January 3rd was the big day!


I opened presents from my parents & then my whole fam went down to Layton & ate at the best restaurant EVER - Red Lobster!! It's a tradition & the one time a year that I get to go there so I fully devoured!!

Maya helped me open my presents because she didn't get enough attention on HER day.

I got baby stuff - receiving blankets, a crib mattress pad, & washcloths, a Wallflower (mmm), & a mommy holding a baby Willow Tree figurine thingy!

Then when we sat down at Red Lobster I went to snap a shot of my pretty frozen lemonade & my camera battery was dead!!! LOVELY!

After dinner we went over to the Layton Hills Mall & Jon let me SHOP!! I got some new clothes, perfume, and a new cell phone because mine was on it's last leg. I got a cheap-o because I've broken every phone I've ever owned!!

I also got $$$ and 2 seasons of FRIENDS on DVD!!! Awesome!! I've already finished watching all of them! We also went to dinner at Blackstone...Thanks Jack & Pam!

Our Christmas 2008

Our Christmas was so fun!! We got VERY spoiled and even Maya and our baby did too!!

This is a couple weeks before Christmas I think but it's my 5 month shot!

Christmas Eve we went to my parents' house & my whole family was there including my grandma & grandpa (one from each side). We had dinner & played games & then opened some presents!!

Maya got a present & opened it by herself!!

Jon got a bench grinder, a couple Lowe's gift cards, and... a bunch of stuff I don't remember. It's been too long now!

I got a cute purse, and I really should've taken more pictures because I honestly don't remember what else... the baby got some cute clothes though!!

Maya's Christmas from us!! Yeah we gave her presents in bed! She's so spoiled...

Christmas day we spent with Jon's family!! It was fun to have everyone together for the first time since me & Jon have been married! Mat & Holly used to live in California so they couldn't ever come!! It was so fun! I took a billion pictures but I was trying to save time so I just put pictures of me & Jon on here!

This is Jon's daddy tool belt. He also got more Lowe's gift cards!! Yay for finishing the baby's room!!!

Try to focus on this cute diaper bag & ignore my hideous face! I love this thing! We also got a dust buster and a bunch of other stuff!!! We really did get spoiled even though I can't remember some of it.... I'm pregnant I can't remember anything, so no offense moms & dads!!

What I DO remember though is that both our parents went in on a video camera for us!! I'm so so so excited about it!! We'll be able to have fun memories of our little babe to come!! Thanks so much to everyone for everything!! It was a wonderful Christmas & we loved spending time with EVERYONE!!!

If we were on top of things, this probably would have been our Christmas card. But we're not so Merry LATE Christmas to everyone!!

And one last shot of the baby bump!! ALMOST 6 months! I don't think I got one right at 6 months so this will have to do... I'll make sure I get a 7 month one... that's coming up soon!!

maya's 1st birthday

Well I finally got my genius brother to help me with my issues with this freakin blog!! So here's the pictures from maya's birthday FINALLY!!!

We had to force to her put the hat on and hold still for a decent picture! but she looked so dang cute with it!!

We ordered pizza & breadsticks, which Chris so lovingly shared with her!! Actually we all did.. she was so sick by the end of the night!

Jon even baked her her very own cake!! We blew out the candle & then she had a few licks of the frosting. Then we cut pieces for ourselves from the OTHER end of the cake!!

anyone? anyone??

am i the only person in the world having issues with Blogger??? i swear it takes ten minutes to load anything. i can't get a freaking picture to upload for the life of me!!! i've even tried two different computers!! and sometimes when I link to someone else's blog it just sits there with a blank page like 1/2 loaded forever & never links!!

AND what really makes me mad is when i CAN get a picture to upload, it just shows up as a bunch of letters and numbers like a code or something. so i can't actually see the pictures until i publish the post. so i usually have to load the pictures then publish it, then go back and write the captions because i can't tell what picture i need to write the caption for!!!

BBBBBAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!! i HATE blogs right now!! weird... blogging used to be like my whole life... now just thinking about it makes me wanna pull my hair out!!

WTF

jon started snoring this week. yes, just this week! are you freaking kidding me???

i finally got on the computer & had time to look at everyone's blogs & get caught up... i still can't get a mother freakin picture to upload but hey, at least i know what everyone ELSE is doing! anyway, jon is fast asleep next to me, SAWING LOGS, and i can't bring myself to try to go to sleep because i know i'll just lay awake and listen to him SNORE.

last night i hit the couch about 4 am but then my back hurt all day so... wish me luck. i'm gonna try to stick it out in bed with MR. SNORES. oh man... here goes nothin...

i can't get any pictures to upload & i'm about to pull my hair out but i thought i would give everyone a little update.

we had a birthday party for maya on december 16. she's one year old!! it was fun! we had my family over, ordered pizza, jon made a cake & we all wore the little pointy hats!!

Christmas was good! we spent Christmas eve with my family and Christmas day with Jon's family. we got spoiled & we still have one present coming! we're getting a video camera :) i'm so excited!!

This pregnancy is creeping along. i'm about 24 weeks. i feel like im 44. i'm such a complainer & i know it's only gonna get worse. i just try to be positive every day!!

Anyway, i'll keep trying to upload some pictures... Hope everyone had a merry christmas! Happy new year & happy birthday to me in two days!! :)

so i am now officially without the internet on a daily basis & it's KILLING ME!!! i finally made it up to my parent's house to use their internet, so i'm playing catch up! please check out EVERYTHING we've been up to lately there's a FEW posts & enjoy the pictures of our SWEET BABY GIRL!!! i finally felt her move this week! she feels like a tiny little butterfly, even though i read that she's apparently the size of cantaloupe this week!!

this is the closest we got to seeing her face! her head was so low that we couldn't ever really see her face! the one 3D picture they got, her arm was covering her face!! :( anyway, i hope those lips turn out more like jon's than mine!! mine are pretty much non-existent.

hopefully she takes after ME in the head department. jon's is rather large & i'd like labor to be as easy as possible. but i probably won't be so lucky... then i'll just have to hope that there lots of fun hair on that big head!!!
