RaGiNg WaTeRs!!!

On Saturday we went to Raging Waters in Salt Lake with Jon's family!! It was SO much fun! Friday night Jon worked until 2 am & I worked til midnight at the Sheriff's Office & then rode around with him til 2 - I was SOOOO dead tired by that time!! So Saturday was quite the day...

We rode down with Jack & Pam & the rest of the fam met us there!! We got there right at 10:30 when they open so me & Jon went on all the slides while there were NO lines!!! They were all awesome & SO fun!!!! I wish I hadn't been such a deprived child & could have gone there when I was little because I think it would've been even more fun as a kid! So anyway finally the rest of the family showed up at like 11 or so & we all hung out & talked for a while & had lunch!





Then we checked out the kiddie pools & the wave pool - way fun!!! Here's all the neicies & nephews - minus Lacey... I don't know how I missed her. She musta been running around having too much fun!!

SO SO SO SO SO SO much fun!!! but by the end of the day we were spent... Some of those slides really beat you up, plus the sun, and lack of sleep,,,, you get the picture. THANKS Jack & Pam for a FUN FUN day!!!

The rest of the weekend we just relaxed & hung out with family. My dad's side of the family was up here for the weekend so we spent a lot of time at my Grandpa's house & Holly & the girls came up to Logan after Raging Waters so I had breakfast & did some shopping with them also!!! Fun Labor Day weekend!!! Hope everyone else enjoyed the loooong weekend - I wish every weekend was a 4-dayer!!!

lately...

sometimes i think my life is SO boring but then i realize how i'm ALWAYS tired & it's probably because my life is filled with stuff. not necessarily fun stuff or anything special but i'm always doing SOMETHING. i wish i could just sit on the couch and watch a movie but that doesn't really ever happen so... anyway i just wanted to throw that out there... for those of you who may think our life is exciting, it's really not so much, i just blog about EVERYTHING we do, so it seems like it. in fact that proves how boring my job is too. i just sit in front of a computer all day, so what else am i to do but blog??

SO... as you know friday we got the bike back from being soda blasted. i took pictures but they're on tim's camera & he said he'd email them to me but he probably never will so.. saturday davie boy painted it for us!!!!

this is all the crank stuff... looks too hard for me! jon had to get online to find out how to put it all back together because he couldn't remember how it all came apart!!

these are the seats & handlebars... we didn't quite get to putting them on because the tires were too big & wouldn't fit so jon stopped after he got the cranks and the front end put together. we got new, smaller tires yesterday, so we'll cross our fingers they work!!!

sunday... the funniest thing that happened:

baby hungry/obsessed whitney: "jon did you know that when you're pregnant, your uterus grows to be 60 times it's normal size???"

jon: "oh really? well the coolest part is that after you have the baby you grow a new one!"

whit: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA yeah.... "

then we went to my mumma & daddy's for dinner. as you can see my dad is stoked that i caught this epic moment on camera. he HATES wearing matching clothes. if he & my mom are wearing even CLOSE to the same color shirt, he'll go change. so i thought it was hilarious that they decided to match this day... i mean they ARE cool shirts...

monday... lisa, carson, & jace came to visit!! we went to lunch at el sol (sick... but it's lisa's fave :D) then we stopped by our house to say hi to jon... he just woke up...

maybe they'll give us free tickets to the 3 day concert at the Gorge for being a pain in my @$$.

Doubt it... guess we'll just wait patiently & find out what the verdict is....

I mean I feel bad because (duh) one of their band members just died but I think that LeRoi would have wanted them to keep on rockin!!!!

We are deeply saddened that LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. LeRoi had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an intensive physical rehabilitation program.

HE WAS ONE AMAZING & TALENTED DUDE... sad, sad, sad. In the most UNSELFISH way, I'm wondering if this will affect our concert????!! sure hope not... LOVE YOU MAN!!

That was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. It was INSANE. There was like at least a million people there. and about 3/4 of them were smoking weed. my throat hurt by the end of the night from (unintentionally) inhaling it. but it was a BLAAAAAAAST!!!!! My camera is a hand-me-down so none of the pictures I took of the stage really turned out... so I took a bunch of pictures of me & jon so you could see how much fun we were having!!

Neil Halstead (? somethin like that...) and Rogue Wave opened for Jack. BOTH were AWESOME!!!
Good ol' Jack just jammin' away...LOVE LOVE LOVED it!!!! I can't even explain how tired I am though... He played like 3,000 songs - which were all amazing- so it was 11 by the time it got over. then it took us an hour just to get out of the parking lot & then 2 more hours to get home from there... so 2 am we rolled in and went straight to bed... i had to get up for work and jon is still in bed at 12:05 pm. thanks honey! now the countdown's on for DAVE!!!!!!!! sooooooooo STOKED
