I was inspired by a cute girl named Ashley Rutledge to take these pictures!! If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out her blog. There's a link over there on the right!! Anyway, I think they're dang cute so hope you enjoy....

Whenever I take the laundry downstairs, I put Maya on top of all the dirty laundry in the basket & then carry it downstairs. Jon thinks I'm crazy, but I really think she likes it. I think it's like a roller coaster for her!!

She would only stay in there for about 4 seconds so I'm lucky I got these pictures!!

And this is her FINALLY escaping!! Even though I put ALL her toys in there, she still didn't like it?? I guess I'll just stick with the rides down to the laundry room. I took a couple more pictures of her in a different laundry basket that she COULDN'T get out of, and they were really cute but somehow they ended up on my camera but not on my memory card, so I don't know how to get them on the computer. So these will just have to do. Hope you like it!!

Nicknames: Jon calls me Whit, Boobies (who knows), and Britney. There's some other weird things he calls me too but there's too many to name! and he calls me Britney because that's what Santa always called me (that's how I knew he wasn't real) and when I answer the phone at work this is usually how it goes: "Wolfords, this is Whitney", "Hi Britney, is Tim there?" EVERYONE just thinks my name is Britney and it DRIVES ME NUTS!!! But it makes me laugh when Jon says it. And my dad calls me Dolly. :)

Favorite cold cereal: That's a tough one. I love Froot Loops, Special K Red Berries, Lucky Charms, Life, Honey Nut Cheerios, and the list goes on & on. Also, if there's a Malt-o-Meal version of any of these cereals, I'll opt for that. I'm cheap. My momma raised me right. I never had "Box Cereal" (that's what I called it at least) until I was old enough to buy it myself. Some may call me sheltered but I actually like the bag kind!
Favorite smells: clean laundry (MUST be TIDE though), the beach, and Jon's cologne (Something from American Eagle)

What brand of shampoo/conditioner do you use? I have the new Herbal Essence ones. I don't know what they're called but I like the orange and pink bottles. Herbal Essence is another thing I was deprived of as a child. We always had V05 or Suave. But that was back when they smelled like grandma hair. Now I really like Suave. The best is Coconut.
Favorite make-up products? Neutrogena liquid makeup (it's supposed to help clear your skin. I'm not sure if it really works but it sure covers up my zits well!) And everyone should check out elf.com cuz everything is $1. The only downfall is the shipping is always $5 so if you just want one thing, it's not such a great deal. But I love all their nailpolishes, the liquid eyeliner, & bronzer.
How many pillows do you sleep with? One but it has to be BIG and FIRM
Do you play an instrument? No. I used to play the piano though.
Have you ever been skinny dipping? NO!! I've always hated my body & would be too embarrassed for anyone to see me nakie. Only Jon is allowed.

What is your favorite article of clothing? For work I like my black puffy vest & my element jacket that Jon gave me for my B-day. But as soon as I get home I put sweats & a t-shirt on & nothing beats that!!
What is your dream vacation? I've wanted to go to Hawaii ever since I knew what Hawaii was. I know like EVERYONE has been there (except me of course) some people even more than once, so it's not like the coolest place in the world but to ME it is.
What was your first impression of your spouse? I always thought he was hott, even before I really knew him but once I got to know him, I found out he was one of those ubertalented guys. He could snowboard, skateboard, longboard, surf, rollerblade, pretty much anything. He's good at everything he does. It still amazes me to this day.
If you were an animal what would you be? A little thing I created in my mind. It's called a cuddlebug.
What is your favorite "me- time" activity? watching movies I want to watch (me & Jon usually don't agree), anything other than work on the computer, reading, sleeping

What do you fix for dinner when there's nothing to fix? That's when we call our parents or just head to the local Sam's club for a drink & a pretzel. $5 meal right there. MMM So good.
If you could live in a different decade/era which one would it be? I wish I was a teenager in the 80s. That's the best music, sweet clothes & sweet hair.
Do you consider yourself outgoing? Sometimes. I can be if I feel like it. I can be shy & embarrassed too though.
What is something you are constantly working on? Trying to finish a book, losing weight haha
Any hidden talents? NO. I have NO talents.
What is a word or phrase you overuse? "Um what was I just gonna say?" I always lose my train of thought. Sometimes I catch myself saying this when I wasn't even really going to say anything. It's weird.
What was the hardest thing that happened to you this past year? Hitting a new high on the scale. I'm a disgustingly huge human being. I've lost 7 lbs since then though!! WooHoo!!
What is the best thing that happened to you this past year? We got Maya!! Every day I think to myself "Man I wish Maya was a baby. But I love her SO much anyway!!"
What is one thing you hope to accomplish this year? Lose 30 lbs (haha that probably won't happen but I'm still gonna hope.)
The best piece of advice you learned this past year? I guess that I'm too young to have a baby. I think it's crappy advice but it's what I've heard the most & I've been forced to follow that advice so... SHOOT.

Maya's Shots

Last week we took Maya to the vet to get her 2nd set of shots. The breeder did the first ones & it was time for another set & I think we have to do it once or twice more. I was really nervous, because she's got a loud bark & one mean bite. Obviously the vet is used to that, but I would be so embarrassed if Maya freaked out. But she ended up doing really well!!

We also started going to a training class at Petsmart!! It started last Tuesday & goes for 8 weeks. Maya did really good last week, so we'll see how it goes tonight! Hopefully she'll be a champion dog by the time we're done!! I'll try to get some pictures tonight but I might be a little embarrassed so I'll see what I can pull off!!

Beautiful Sunday Afternoon

Today was such a nice day!! It was awesome to actually see the sun! It felt really warm too, even though it wasn't even 30 degrees. So we decided to go for a walk after church. We only went around the block but it took about 45 minutes with our crazy little puppy! It took Maya a minute to get used to the idea of walking so Jon carried her part of the way!

But then she got right into it! We are still trying to get her trained with the leash, and she's really stubborn. If she doesn't want to walk, she won't. If she wants to stop and sniff at something, she will. And she did about every 15 seconds.

She's definitely a hound. She'll sniff at a leaf, grass, other dogs poo, her own poo, ANYTHING!! She's pretty much got a mind of her own! Everything we read says Beagles are really stubborn and strong willed, they're the hardest to train, and they pretty much do what they want. If you don't keep them on a leash, they'll just follow a scent and won't come back until they feel like it. Really encouraging information huh?? Good thing Jon is really patient. HE'S gonna do a GREAT job training her!!

Our Valentine's Day!

Hope everyone had an awesome Valentine's Day!! Ours turned out really good! After much persuasion and a guilt trip from me, Jon brought me these flowers at work. He was gonna try and get away with not celebrating this holiday. He says he hates it. I don't get it. It's like having a second anniversary!! I LOVE Valentine's day!! So I made him feel bad and he brought me these flowers and a gift card to Einstein's mmm! He claims he was gonna get me at least flowers and a card anyway but I'm not sure I believe him. I think if I hadn't made such a big deal about it, he would've pretended it was just any other day of the week! We also went to dinner at Iggy's!! It was fun!

I pinned Maya down to put this ribbon on her and she actually sat still for a second while I took the picture! Then she started chewing on it and the moment was over with! But she looked so cute while it lasted!!

This was Maya's Valentine's gift from us! She loves it. If you squeeze the heart it squeaks and she sprints around the house. She goes nuts, it's so funny!

I was eleven and in 5th grade at a new school! We had just moved to Providence and I was meeting new friends and missing my old ones. But I got over that fast! It was such a fun year!!

silly maya!!

Well after having Maya for a little more than a week now, we've had a lot of interesting experiences with her!! She is a crazy little puppy! She makes us laugh so much! But she also makes us pretty mad sometimes!! She's gotten a lot better with the whole potty training thing. The first couple days we had her, I cleaned the rugs more than they'd been cleaned since we've lived there! But she's kinda got the idea now that she supposed to go potty OUTSIDE!! and we've gotten better at figuring out when she's ACTING like she has to potty so we can take her out! She's starting chewing on EVERYTHING. Mostly my toes. It makes me so mad. It all starts when I'm walking through the house, she'll chase me - which I understand. But then I sit down to play with her and she wants to eat my toes instead of her toys!! And it really hurts!! She like to climb inside our entertainment center too. She crawls back where we can't reach her and chews on all the wires!! That little brat. I'm really scared that she's gonna get shocked one of these days! But then maybe she'd learn her lesson. She also does some crazy things when she sleeps!
Sometimes she stretches all the way out like this with her legs poking out the back! She does this sometimes when she's playing too!

And she also likes to sleep on her back!! I never thought a dog would do this but it's so funny!

Wednesday last week Jon was holding Maya on his lap & she just decided to jump off! She landed on her shoulder wrong and started screaming! Me & Jon started freaking out & we were sure it was broken. It was so scary!! She wouldn't put any weight on it, when we put her down she would just fall right over. I felt so bad and so did Jon obviously! So we took her to the vet and by the time we got there she was putting a little bit of weight on it. He checked her out and said he didn't think it was broken & to just keep an eye on it & if it didn't get better in a few days he would x-ray it. By the end of the night she wasn't even limping! So good old Maya pulled through it. THEN on Saturday, Jon was holding her walking around the house and she decided to jump out of this arms!! Same deal, same arm. She got over that one too. haha so we're not very good dog parents but we're learning and Maya's getting tougher every time something like that happens so it's all good!!

a new addition to the family!!!

I wish I could tell you that the new addition was a baby but I'm still SO excited to announce that Maya Mae Robinson has joined our little family!

So for the past few weeks, or months, OK pretty much since we've been married... I have been bugging Jon to let us have a baby! I know it sounds silly but it's just one of those things I've always wanted to do and I think it would be an amazing experience to say the least but ANYWAY... So last week me & Jon sat down and had a SERIOUS discussion about the whole baby thing. (Usually it's me saying "I want a baby!" and him saying "Not right now" and looking really annoyed but trying to be nice about it) So a while ago, when I was in one of my "I want a baby!" moods, of course Jon had already said no so I said "Ok, I either want a baby or a little doggy!" to which he also said NO! Back to the SERIOUS discussion last week... he sat me down and said, "If I let you have a dog, will you leave me alone for a while about having a baby?" I got a GIANT smile on my face and screamed YES!! I couldn't believe my ears!!! I think I even started bouncing up and down... So then we just had to decide what kind of dog. I wanted a little yorkie or chiwawa (however you spell that), pretty much just a tiny little thing that would stay tiny and could be an inside dog. Jon wanted a lab, which is fine, I love labs, but I told him if we got one, it would have to be an outside dog which would make it HIS dog and therefore our verbal contract would be null and void. So we decided to get a medium sized dog! So we started looking on KSL. We found some bull dogs, pugs, and beagles. We decided beagles were dang cute and affordable too. So we found some out in Amalga, went out and looked at them and ended up bringing one home! I've taken about a million pictures already so here are just a few! She's 6 weeks old and so much fun! She'll play around like a hyper little thing and then go right into cuddle mode when you pick her up and hold her! She's a sweetheart and we love her to death!! She is quickly becoming like a child to us so look forward to more on MAYA!!!

We had so much fun in Las Vegas!! I wish we didn't have to come home! It was so warm down there too! It was like 60 the whole time. Which isn't super warm but compared to 7 degrees -which is what we came home to- its awesome!!! So we left Friday afternoon and drove down to St. George. We ate at Texas Roadhouse Grill - SO good & way fun place to eat!! Then we got a hotel and got up the next morning and drove the rest of the way to Vegas. We had lunch at In & Out - mmm! Then checked in to our hotel, we stayed at New York New York! It was an awesome hotel & casino!! It looks like New York City. There's a bunch of little places to get food and it's all set up like a city, the fronts of the stores look like buildings and stuff it's so cute! Me & Jon went on the roller coaster that's at NYNY also! It was SOOO fun!!! I was screaming the whole time - it was AWESOME!!! We walked around a ton - my feet hurt so bad by the last day I couldn't walk anymore!! We ate at tons of good places like Stage Deli which had enormous sandwiches that were delicious, Cheesecake Factory - it was my first time! and Rainforest Cafe!! I'm probably forgetting some other places but wow we ate good!! We also did some serious gambling. haha Not like we went nuts or anything but me & Jon's mom sat at some slot machines together while Jon played video poker and stuff. Poor Jack was sick most of the time :( Jon wouldn't really let me sit by him while he gambled because he was convinced that I was bad luck for him!! But we did play Blackjack together - also a first for me! and I actually did pretty good! (with Jon's help of course!) I only got ID'd twice!! I was pretty surprised, I thought they'd be all over me! We also did some serious shopping! They have AMAZING outlets down there!! I think they're kinda new and they are freakin' awesome! I hate it when you got to outlets and they have lame stores and there isn't even any good deals!! At least that's how I feel about Park City, maybe I just hit it at the wrong time but anyway... I got tons of stuff - I've never done that much shopping at one time in my life. I seriously couldn't carry all my bags!! (Thanks Jack & Pam for the birthday money!! :) ) So that was it - we had tons of fun, ate a ton of food, & walked a ton too!!! I can't wait to go again!!

Happy Birthday to me!!

I turned the big 2-1 on January 3rd!! So Wednesday the 2nd, my parents and bro took me to dinner! Jon was in California picking up an inmate for work so he missed out!! We went to Red Lobster in Layton - which is kind of a tradition in my fam. We pretty much all love seafood, so that's usually where we go to dinner on birthdays!!

It seems like I have a picture of someone looking retarded on almost all my posts!! Usually it's Jon so I thought I'd give it a try!


mmmmm! This brings back good memories!! Makes my mouth water!!!

On my actual birthday, the 3rd, me & Jon went to dinner at Blackstone. It was really good!! I had calamari for the first time and it was amazing! and Jon had a HUGE rack of delicious ribs!! Jon got me a couple hoodies and some new shoes!! Then we went up to Jon's parents and had a good old fashioned birthday party!! There were balloons everywhere and a sweet table cloth with matching plates and napkins!! It really took me back! I hadn't had a birthday like that in years!!

I got a cheesecake for my birthday cake - mmmm another thing that makes my mouth water!!!

And Jon's parents gave me this way cute purse!! I love it - its huge! :) and some cash money to buy whatever else I want!! I had an AMAZING birthday - thanks to everyone!! I can't wait to go to Vegas now!! I'm legal!!! only 4 more days til we leave!!! WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!

Then on Saturday, my mom took me shopping! I got a bunch of decorations for the house, including a bunch of Christmas clearance!! That is totally the way to go! Now I have a bunch of stuff for next year a paid next to nothing for it! Well actually I didn't pay for it!! Even better! Thanks Mammy!! and everyone else!!!
