SOFTBALL!!!

So we started playing softball a couple weeks ago & I obviously couldn't take pictures so I FINALLY got some from my mommy!! There's more that I need to get from my dad, these are just from the first week before we got our team shirts! There's some awesome pictures from last week, plus we have sweet shirts so I'll definitely have to get those ASAP!! The first week we won 17-6. Last week we won 15-4. And last night we got humbled. We lost 17-5. Booo!! It was still way fun though!!

So funny story about last night... I got off work at like 5:15, our game was at 6. We usually like to get there a little early to warm up so I was in a hurry. So I got all dressed & went to leave & realized that I didn't have a garage door opener or keys to get in the door to the garage. So the truck wasn't working anyway because of the brakes (that's a whole other story), & Jon had taken the car, & I can't drive the motorcycle. So I thought, no big deal I can ride my bike. It's not that far. But I couldn't get into the garage!! So I called Jon (he had to work last night) & he was on some call so he couldn't bring me his keys. So I climbed THROUGH THE DOGGY DOOR into the garage. I got all dirty & got stabbed by like 7 nails. But I was in!!! So I got one bike down (we have like 6 bikes) & tried to pump up the tires but they had some weird contraption on the valves so it wasn't getting any air in. So I got down another bike. This one's tires were full! Yay!! Should've got that one down first, dang it. Oh well, so I threw all my stuff in the baseball bag, through it on my back like a backpack, put Maya in her kennel (which she has learned to CLIMB over - will explain in later post) & I was off like the wind. I cruised down to the softball fields as fast as my little feet could pedal & I made it right before the coin toss!!! I still can't believe I made it in time but it's a good thing I did because we had JUST enough people to play after I got there!! So needless to say I didn't warm up, I guess the bike ride was my warm up. Oh I also face-planted in the outfield during the game & my elbow started bleeding! It was a pretty awesome night.

I'm not sure why this is all underlined & I couldn't figure out how to change it! Sorry!

FLASHBACK FRIDAY!!!

I decided to dedicate this week's flashback to Makell Denise Gish. The reason it's a flashback is because I miss the olden days when we played everyday. We still go to lunch like once a month but I miss her!! We've been friends since I moved to Providence when I was 10 years old. Her & Megan were the first ones to ring my doorbell & ask if I could play!! And we've been fwends ever since!! Love you Kell!!!!!!!!!





ps I've always had a secret TINY hatred for Makell cuz she's SO GORGEOUS!!! Oh well it's nice of her to still be friends with me...

am i gonna survive?

So tonight is Jon's first real night of working on Patrol. Monday he did a bunch of paperwork, read policy, watched a training video & spent a few hours at dispatch - seeing how they run things there i guess. Tuesday he had off. Yesterday he talked with a few different seargants about the things they are over, he learned all about CLEA (which is a bunch of standards the Sheriff's Office has to follow or something..), Mounted Posse, Search & Rescue, & the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Which is really cool. It's on the 3rd floor of the Sheriff's Complex & there are stations for a bunch of different groups around the valley & representatives from each group gather there when there's a major catastrophe in the valley. That way they can all work together to dispatch ambulances & try to get things under control. ANYWAY then he rode around the north end of the valley with one of the seargants to get familiarized with the area. So tonight was his first night with his FTO (field training officer). His name is Deputy Groves. He is working swings for the 3 weeks or so that he is with Groves & then he will train with 2 other FTOs after that. I think he's with an FTO for like 10 weeks or something. Then he's all by his lonesome!! So anyway I'm just really wondering if I'm going to survive this whole deal... I hate being by myself (thank goodness I have little Maya bobbins!) & it makes me nervous not knowing where Jon is. When he was in the Jail, I knew he was safe & he had like at least 5 other guys to back him up if anything ever happened (which isn't very likely in the first place). but he's just out there driving around somewhere.. at least he's got someone with him for the first little while. So if anyone ANYONE feels bad for me, please feel free to call me anytime!! I would love someone to keep me company! I'm such a wuss. But I REALLY am so excited for Jon. This is something new & fun for him & I know he'll do an AWESOME job because he is the hardest worker ever & he's got a good head on his shoulders. I know he'll deal well with the public & be able to make good decisions in a split second. He's one smart cookie! Love you baby!!

Maya's Kennel is Finally Done!!!!

Yay!!! It's FINALLY done!! Here's Jon standing by the AWESOME fence he built! It was totally cheap too, thanks to Custom Fence!!

I took half a day off on Friday & we went to get this gravel & shoveled it out of the truck & into the wheel barrow & then into the kennel & then raked it flat!! It was hard work but it was nice to be out in the BEAUTIFUL weather & now Maya has a little place to call home!!

Jon also scrubbed the fence down & he's going to stain it tomorrow!! Next he wants to build Maya a house. He's thinking 3 bedroom 2 bathroom... & then we'll paint the sides of the garage!! We love working in our yard because it's so small that we can start & finish a project in the same day & it makes a HUGE difference!! It feels so good when we're done!! We also went for a couple rides on the motorcycle this weekend, it was so fun! Hope everyone else enjoyed their weekend also!!!

Jon found out yesterday he is going to Patrol!!! We're really excited! It will definitely be a change, but it will be a good change!! Way to go Jon!!!

Another Busy Weekend!

Happy Mudda's Day to all the mommas out there!!! Hope everyone got treated like queens! I did & I'm not even a momma!! I got a Bumbles watch! Thanks Jonny Baby!! That's what we gave my mom too. I went to church with her yesterday so we could hang out because we went to dinner at Jack & Pam's. Here's my mumma - what a babe!!


So we had a LOVELY dinner at the in-laws!! Jack made us some killer burgers & then he did the dishes for sweet Pamela girl. How nice huh?? We gave her this framed dealio.. She pretended to like it but I guess we'll see if she actually puts it up in her house....


Saturday was Jack's birthday!!! We went to dinner at Iggy's & Jack got some new threads from Pam & a SWEEEEEET hose from me & Jon!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JACK!!!!! & Happy (late) Mother's Day to Laurie & Pam!!!!!!!! & all the other mothers out there!

Flashback Friday

I don't have very many old pictures to REALLY flashback to, this is probably one of the oldest ones I have on my computer.


This was on our honeymoon so it was about a year & a half ago. It was the day after we got married, at the airport on the way to Cali to hop on our cruise ship. This dude from Road Rules was wandering around the airport acting normal & I called his bluff!!! I walked right up to him & said "You're famous! You're from Road Rules huh??" & then we had a nice chat & snapped this pic!! That's the closest to a celeb I'll ever get I'm afraid... oh well it was friggin sweet anyway.

Holy Moly 2 posts in one day!!! A little weird for me but I just had to show off this cute pic!


This is last summer a couple days after little Jace man was born!! He was so tiny!! (He's our nephew) When my screen saver comes on, it shuffles through all my pictures & this one popped up. I thought it was so cute & wanted to share!! :)

our CRAZY weekend!!!

This weekend we had LOTS going on!! Jon's dad graduated with his PhD on Friday & Jon's birthday was on Sunday so we did TONS of partying & eating & hanging out!!! It was so fun to have Jon's WHOLE family here!! We started our weekend off Thursday night. We both had Friday off!! woo hoo! So Thursday night we made a big ol poster for Jon's dad. It pretty much took up our whole house, but it ended up being the PERFECT size for the garage!! Friday morning we went up to Jon's parents & decorated the house!




Then we headed up to the university. We got to watch Jack walk & then we headed inside for the graduation. It was LONG but it was way awesome to see Jack get his "diploma". That is like the coolest thing ever & a really great accomplishment. We're so proud of him & he's set an AWESOME example for all of us!!!

After graduation we took some pictures & headed back to the house. We ordered Firehouse & had it all there at the house. That was nice that we didn't have to fight the crowds in the restaurant!! Then we had cake - isn't it cute?? Everyone had BLUE teeth after they ate it!


Saturday we had a birthday party for Jon while all the family was here!! We had a Mexican fiesta - Jon's favorite!! After dinner he opened presents (all the kids wanted to help of course) & had cake (they had to help blow out the candles too!). Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting - SO Jon.

Sunday (Jon's real birthday) I decorated our house BIG TIME!! I put streamers & balloons all over. I did a video but it didn't really turn out... Also I didn't realize it until I started blowing them up but I accidentally got CONGRATS balloons instead of Happy Birthday!!! So I just taped them all over the place with the congrats on the back!! haha I'm such a retard!!

Then I made these cupcakes. HAHA NOT. I wish. I bought them! But I DID frost them & put the sprinkles on all by myself!!!!! AGAIN chocolate cupcakes with chocolate chips in them & chocolate frosting!!! Haha I don't know anyone that likes chocolate more than Jon. When Jon got home from work, after admiring my decorating skills, we went up to my parent's for dinner. We had dutch oven potatoes & chicken!! mmmmm! Then we had German Chocolate cake with Moose Tracks ice cream. WHOLE FREAKIN CHOCOLATE!!!! Oh yeah, & we went to Chili's last night (day 3 of celebrating Jon's birthday!!! haha) & we had Moulton Chocolate cake there!!!! WOW!! Jon was in heaven. We definitely need to go on a serious diet now!! So it was a killer weekend, we had TONS of fun & loved having the whole family together!!! LOVE YOU ALL!! & HAPPY 27TH BIRTHDAY TO JON!!!! he's old huh? Time to start a family don't ya think?? Me too. But he doesn't think so for some reason... someone needs to knock some sense into him. LOVE YOU HONEY!!!

Happy May 1st -- NOT!!!!

Well holy freak it's May 1st & we woke up to like 2 inches of snow today!! WOOOOPEEEEEE!!!!


That's a sarcastic woopee of course. I just wanna give a shout out to all those people who LOVE to tell me that "winter isn't so bad" & the cold is SO much better than the heat because "you can always put more layers on." WELL WHO THE FREAK WANTS TO WEAR A WINTER COAT IN MAY???????????? I'm moving to California.

Back to Maya's kennel!!!

After we finished the bathroom at Wolfords, we got back to Maya's kennel. Jon finished hooking the chain link to the fence & buried it. Then he took all the branches from the dead tree to the dump (green waste is FREE!!) & took the rebar & other random metal stuff to the scrap yard.




Then he dug the holes for these posts (there are 2 but I don't think you can see the other one).




Then he cemented them in the ground!! & that's as far as we've gotten!! We're waiting for Custom Fence to make the gate & then we have to put up the rest of the chain link & get a load of wood chips. Then we should be pretty much done!! Woohoo I can't wait!!!
